Let us start learning with triangular prism. It is a polyhedron of a triangular base. Triangular prism is a three dimensional with a solid base, 9 edges, 5 faces and 6 vertices.
Volume is nothing but the space occupied by the three dimensional figure.
Formula to find out the volume of a triangular prism is given below:
Volume = (1/2)*base*height*length.
You can calculate the Volume of the triangular prism using these simple steps:
1) Choose your unit of measurement.
2) First measure the length, height and base of the prism. Sometimes base is also called as width and Height is the altitude of triangle and is perpendicular to the base.
3) Multiply the 3 dimension together. It does not matter the order in which you multiply the numbers.
4) Then divide that answer by 2.
5) Finally write your answer in the proper cubic unit of measurement.
Using this step you can easily calculate the volume of the triangular prism.
